The Christian Faith Center Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO) was founded in 2014. The goal of this 501(c)(3) non-profit organization is to provide scholarships to students needing assistance to attend Urban Preparatory Academy. This scholarship organization is great for donors looking to help the community and gain tax advantages.

Student Success Story
Nicholas Nelson- 8th Grade
Nicholas came to UPA when he was in first grade. He was diagnosed with Aspergers and ADHD and was struggling to focus in classroom settings. He described his experience in a public school classroom as feeling like he was in a barrel and that all the students and noises within the large classroom, made it difficult for him to focus and learn. His Mother brought him to UPA looking for an environment that would give him the ability to learn and thrive despite his disabilities. Nicholas is now in 8th grade and is one of the students excelling at UPA. He is not only grasping the material and learning per his grade level, but he is also a published author. He credits his success to the intervention learning class that fostered an environment where he was excited to learn and given the support he needed to excel. Nicholas is now upping his game with education and we see amazing things in his future.

We exist to provide educational opportunities serving children from low-income and working-class families who choose and alternate route in the children’s educational journey.
Our mission is to provide students with a world-class school that gives students the knowledge, skills, character, and disposition to meet and exceed Kansas State Common Core Learning Standards, and prepares students for college and career. We will be a leading example of education in our community by becoming the first school of choice. We will grow a grade level each year until we reach 12th grade.
Our goal is to build students’ intellectual character, motivating them to think critically, creatively, and reflectively in an environment infused with community empowerment. Our instructional methods, educational philosophy and mission are carefully aligned to promote high academic achievement. We will partner with families and community organizations to help students develop the necessary skills to navigate the path to academic and career success.

Pay the donation amount via this link or by check delivered to the school's front office.
Donation Process Made Easy
- Fill Out Tax Credit Donation Form.
- Pay Donation Amount
- Make checks payable to: Christian Faith Centre, Inc.
- Mail to: 1130 S. Broadway Wichita, KS 67211
- The Scholarship Granting Organization will process the donation via an online portal, to the Kansas State Department of Revenue.
- The state will then issue a tax credit certificate to the Scholarship Granting Organization who will send it to the donor
